Governor Alex Otti of Abia has promised to provide access to quality healthcare throughout the state’s 17 local government areas (LGAs).
Otti made the promise at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia, during a reception for the survival thanksgiving service of the state’s Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Mike Akpara.
Promoting primary healthcare, he pledged to make sure that local clinics have the resources they needed to do their jobs.
healthcare that is both available and inexpensive.
The Governor promised that his government will help the state’s poor by delivering on healthcare for the elderly and other vulnerable residents, as well as other campaign pledges. He gave thanks to God for allowing Akpara to live so that he might go on living.
The celebrant gave a speech earlier in which he thanked God for saving his life after a horrific car accident.
He described how God sent Keke drivers and his personal driver to the scene of the collision to save his life.
He thanked Otti and everyone who came to identify him, calling the Keke drivers “heroes of the survival thanksgiving service.”
